With the extensive grounds of the Hui’s Kaluanui Estate as a classroom, students will relate patterns in nature to art. Keiki will learn about sacred geometry and symmetry while creating mandalas with paint and natural objects. With Shay’s guidance as an artist, educator, and yoga instructor, students will create beautiful artistic pieces and practice yoga for inspiration!

  Handbuilding & Wheel Throwing Register Now!

Prepare to be amazed at the bowls, cups, and vases created in this introductory ceramics class! Students will learn the basic elements of wheel throwing as well as more advanced techniques to add design and texture to work. Families are invited to attend the final session to view class work, pick up pieces, and meet your young artist’s new friends! Note: No class on 11/25

In addition to having a rewarding afterschool activity, young artists will also benefit from learning fundamental handbuilding techniques from slabs to sgraffito. Note: No class on 11/25

Children and their parent, grandparent, or guardian will observe, discuss, and explore art together in a creative environment while Jesse guides them in adventuresome art projects designed to build skills in painting, singing, acting, sculpting, and crafting. This class is the perfect opportunity to spend time with the young artist in your life!
