GRAFICA: AUWAHI is a project in collaboration with 2018 Artist in Residence Mazatl and the Auwahi Forest Restoration Project. During his 5-week residency, Mazatl created this mural with inspiration from his experience on Maui and at Auwahi.

Visit our new History Room exhibit, where we celebrate the work of Ethel Baldwin, Kaluanui's original resident and artist extraordinaire! This exhibition features Ethel's pastels, watercolors, pencil drawings, acrylic paintings, and silver holloware, dated from 1914 to 1960.

Ethel kept a placard at her desk with the words: “Do it now.” She will always be remembered as a foundational figure in Maui’s cultural history—a child of privilege who used every gift she possessed for the creation of a more beautiful, more intelligent, and more just world.
