Friday, July 13: PAINT DAY with July Artist-in-Residence Shira Walinsky: Please join us from 2 - 5 pm for a public paint day to meet our July Artist-in-Residence Shira Walinsky and to help create the new landmark mural she has been developing with our community for the past 6 months!! RSVP at kmchugh@huinoeau.com, spread the word, and check in at the front desk on Friday!

Saturday, July 14: Youth Art Exhibition (10:00 am - 4 pm / through August 3): Featuring art by nearly 200 Maui youth completed during Camp Kaluanui, including photography, ceramics, painting, drawing, jewelry design, comic illustrations, and more, this interactive exhibition promises an explosion of colorful creativity that shows us all the extraordinary possibilities that are unlocked by young minds.

Saturday, July 14: Mural Arts Workshop with Artist-in-Residence Shira Walinsky: Participants will develop into mural artists for a day, putting their mark on this historic piece of public art and joining the team that helps transform a Maui space. Register today at (808) 572-6560 ext 21.

Tuesday, July 17: PAINT DAY with July Artist-in-Residence Shira Walinsky: Please join us from 2 - 5 pm for a SECOND public paint day to help complete the new landmark mural that Shira has been developing with our community for the past 6 months!!

Thursday, July 19: Artist Chat & Presentation with Artist-in-Residence Shira Walinsky: Join us in bidding bon voyage to public art expert Shira Walinsky who will share slides of her work with the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, talk about her work igniting social change via the visual arts, and engage in conversation about the process of creating the first installment to the Hui No'eau Maui Mural Project. (5:00 PM / FREE)

Saturday, July 28: Family Day: A Community Celebration of the Arts! (10:00 am - 2:00 pm /FREE) All are welcome to enjoy the Hui’s annual summer festival celebrating the Youth Art Exhibition. The gallery will be transformed into a space for exploration and discovery, while the professional artist studios and main house will be buzzing with activity for all to visit, learn and play! Take a walking tour of the historic grounds, create an original work of art with your little one, spread out a picnic blanket, and check out our Affordable Art Sale, courtyard artist vendors, Ceramic 2nds, and much more!
