August @ the Hui

August 30, 2012August marked a time of celebration and inspiration at Hui No‘eau, as we transformed the gallery from the annual Youth Art Exhibition (featuring the work of 220+ Maui youth) into the 2012 Solo Artist Exhibition (featuring Valerie Yong Ock Kim and Billy Welker), hosted free artist chats with Roger Whitlock and Denny Tilman, launched the last of our summer lineup of classes and visiting artist workshops and produced an intimate dinner for 24 guests here at our historic Kaluanui Estate, catered by Bev Gannon with wine pairings by wine educator Jim Powlan of Chambers & Chambers Wine Merchants. An exquisite experience auctioned at last year's Hui No‘eau Food & Wine Celebration in Wailea, it offered the opportunity to mix & mingle with friends, both old and new, enjoy the gallery during an intimate occasion, and relax under the stars at our nearly 100-year old home, Kaluanui.
